An Experimental Study on the thermal transmittance value and the dew condensation of aluminium windows |
| Abstract |
Condensation which often occurs in winter season should be avoided under all circumstance for good feeling of occupants. The main purpose of this study is to provide basic technical data for the thermal transmittance value and dew condensation of aluminum window. Findings of this study are summarized as delow. 1) Thermal transmittance values of single, double, triple aluminium windows are 5.263 Kcal/m h c, 3.03 Kcal/m h c, 1.96 Kcal/m h c respectively and double window for Cheju-Island and southern area, triple window for middle area of South Korea are thought to be proper to Korean Building Code. 2) The surface condensation of aluminium windows are occurred even if the quantities are different and it is not occurred around the aluminium frame. |
