| Abstract |
This study is mainly concerned with the historical background, plan, and structure of Hyangchung Architecture in Che-ju prorince. Hyangchung was a kind of official building in Chosun Dynasty and took charge of mediation job between government and people.The plan of Hyangchung Architecture is generally rectangular shape that is consist of two different floor, one is Malu, and the other is Ondol, and it's structure is `Mindori style'. And Hyangchung Architecture of Che-ju province is much influenced by Cheju village's house in plan and structure. |
