Title |
A Study on the Residents` attitude about Neighborhood by Street Types |
Abstract |
The purpose of this study is to compare the influence of the residential street types(grid 1, grid 2, cul-de-sac) on the residents' attitude about their neighborhoods. The residents' attitude about neighborhood in relation to the street types is analysed by three aspects: and attachment to place, a sense of community and a sense of mutual aid, which could be it's major components. Through x2 test and sociometry analysis, we could find that, the street types as a short grid pattern and cul-de-sac one are more positive than a long grid pattern on the formation of the residents' attitude about neighborhood. |
