A Study on Design Guidelines of Elementary School Classroom based on Environmental Performance |
| Abstract |
The educational environment has an influence on students in physiological, psychological and social aspect, Especially, it is very important to evaluate the physical environment of the classroom in elementary school, where strudents spend their whole school life.This study aims to offer fundamental data for designing the classrooms in elementary school by analyzing the condition of selected elementary shcools and the computer simulations, considering factors such as natural lighting, thermal and accoustic environment.The result of the study can be summarized as follows:1. Natural lighting environment 1)Considering the ceiling height, the proper window Height is about 220cm, so the proper window width is about 315cm. 2)Consiering the uniformity ratio, the overhang is protruded about 50cm from slab. 3)Considering the internal illuminance and uniformity ratio, the proper sill height is about 80cm. |
