Title |
A Study of Systematic Presentation for Modern Architecture Movement refer to from Abstract to Realization in America and Canada |
Abstract |
The principal objective of this study is to formulate a model for the understanding of the elements in the design process from abstract thought to reality based on an analysis of 20th century architects and their work in America and Canada. The following three steps will be used to achieve this purpose:1)Analyse architectural work with respect to the architect's stated design process and theories. This would involve an extensive study of the architect's cultural, social and economic background and also with an analysis of his work with respect to his reactions to space and form. In order to place the architects within a socio-political context, a country-by-country analysis would be included by means of a matrix chart.2)Develop a framework describing the components of the design process ranging in sequence from abstract thought to the completed building. This would include a detailed description of the elements in the framework and the relationship between these elements.3)Domonstrate that this framework can be used as a model to interpret and understand the design process. |
