| Abstract |
Korean houses have dual complex and chaos of culture between traditional one and foreign one, so it is needed to establish Korean dwelling culture.The object of this thesis is to suggest the directions of future for buildings in the district of Korean traditional houses with a view to keep its historicity and to find out the relevancy and identity of Korean dwelling culture.Referring to foreign case studies on the historic districts and buildings, the directions for conservation and development are suggested according to building styles, purposes and building actions.In conclusion, accepting inner variation, the outer elevation facing roads should be conserved with a method of recovery to original shape or transformation to similar shape. |
