A Study on the Formation of a Neighbor Group in Urban Residential Environment |
| Abstract |
This study examines the cognition of interaction between social behaviors and spatial behaviors in an urban residential environment. The formation of neighbor group in residential area embodies the sense of community that environmental characters produce. This environmental characters are:1)proximity of neighbors, 2)sense of identity, 3)sense of belonging, 4)defence of environments, 5)sense of territory. This study test a social interaction of three types of place in seoul.Finally, the study implies that the socio-spatial relationship in urban residential environment serves as an important device for the formation of neighbor group. |
