A Study on the Composition and Production System of the Modular House |
| Abstract |
Industrialized housing system could be categorized such as skeletal frame system, panel system, and box-unit system according to the structural frame and decomposition method of the building. Higher level of housing industrialization could be achieved by box-unit modular housing system. This system has merits such as the enhanced builing quality and shortened construction period, but also has demerits such as size restriction of the modular units according to the Road Traffic Law and inflexibility of the unit composition. In this paper, modular housing system was studied to minimize the demerits in the way of composition methods of the open and closed units. Development and design methods was also shown in this paper. |
