Abstract |
The two eigenvalues (the elastic critical load and natural frequency) of the linear or one-dimensional members with various types both in cross sections and in boundary conditions are calculated by means of finite element methods. The relationship between two eigenvalues is established by calculating the corresponding values of through changing values. The finite element adopted in the finite element analysis is a linear beam element with 2-DOF at each node. |
