Abstract The chief concern this paper is on the clay funeral watch-tower model as are part of architectural styles during the Han-Dynasty in China.In the tombs before Chin Dynasty almost all the excavated articles are those of arms but during the Han Dynasty those unearthed articles are such necessities of life as clay well, clay house, clay watch tower and so on.Among those excavated articles clay-funeral watch tower are of the very important materials in studying ancient architecture in China because it shows the architectural charicteristics well during those days.The consequences of this study show that the architecture during the Han-Dynasty was outstanding in style as well as in technique.What is especially note worthy is that tou-kung(bracket system)which was seldom found in the house style watch-tower was expressed in detail in the clay funeral watch-tower and makes it possible to apprehend its structure and style correctly.Tou-kung had been already used before the Han Dynasty and developed into five types during the han-Dynasty.
