| Abstract |
In many countries, listening tests suitable for the structure of their languages are used for assessing the speech transmission quality of a room. But there exist some problems in performing subjective tests, such as inevitable human factor, testing time and expenses. So, several objective methods using physical parameters are proposed to avoid such limitations. In this paper, physical parameter using speech transmission index is examined as a tool for assessing the speech transmission quality of a room. According to the tests and measurements, RASTI(rapid speech transmission index)is highly related with articulation score according to the proposed standard of articulation testing method using Korean speech materials. |
