Title |
Electrochemical Diagnosis on Corrosion of Steel in Concrete |
Abstract |
The study aims to investigate the non-destructive diagnosis of corrosion of steel in concrete. The parameters of the total 27 beams were strength of concrete and addition of natrium chloride and inhibitor. The specimens were subjected to constant steam curing in 60 C for 1 year. The progress of corrosion was electrochemically monitored. At the end of test, corrosion situations were visually inspected. The results obtained so far indicate that half cell potential(Ec) characteristics can be used to predict corrosion situation. From the result we can conclude that there is no reinforcing steel corrosion when the Ec is greater than-200mV and there occurs reinforing steel corrosion when the Ec is less than-300mV. |
