| Abstract |
Continuing to prior volume in which the design elements of Korean traditional houses were classified according to the period, in this volume the effects of design elements of Korean traditional houses on those of modern houses are proved by survey and analysis.The reasons of traditional reception are climate, life custom and national emotion. The methods of traditional reception are copying, ecleticism and abstraction. In conclusion, the elevation of modern houses in Korea should be planed by establishing the design theory and by substantiating the universal form. |
