Abstract |
The purpose of this study was to evaluate interior and neighborhood environment of multifamily housing. For neighborhood environment, three aspects such as maintenance-management, transitional space and community facilities were evaluated.The data were collected using questionnair. 824 gouseholds living in Sanggae-Dong area were selected through stratified random sampling.Findings were as follows:1) Residents were generally satisfied with interior aspects. Noise, however, was the most serious problem and the size of the smallest bedroom next. There were strong correlations between the overall satisfaction and the satisfaction with kitchen and with living room.2) Residents were much interested in but not satisfied with the maintenance-management aspect.3) Place and frequency of interaction among neighbors, and satisfaction with the transitional space were influenced by buildign form.4) Dissatisfactory aspects were more prominent than satisfactory ones in terms of community environment. In conclusion, the Sanggae-Junggae Dong housing were evaluated positively by residents in terms of interior and transitional space while rather negatively in terms of maintenance-management and community facility environment. |
