| Abstract |
This paper is to study the effect of confinement on the strength of reinforced concrete columns. The main variables in this study is tie spacing and tie configuration. And the tie is welded. Eight specimens were tested and these experimental results compared with theoretical analysis or results.As a result, confined concrete showed the enhancement of strenght and the weak point(brittle fracture) of welded tie. |
