A Field Survey & Analysis of Physical Deviations of Concrete Structures in Apartment Houses |
| Abstract |
Due to the lack of the criteria for physical dimensions of major parts of cast-in-placed concrete structures, the required dimensional quality of a building could not be fairly secured during the process of design and construction. The superintendents of job sites arbitrally decide the permissible deviations of each part of concrete structure on the basis of their own site experiences, which results in worse quality or inaccurate construction of a building. In order to establish the permissible deviations, first of all, the current accuracy of contractors should be indentified, through the field survey of physical dimensions of each part in concrete structure. Finally, the measuring methods were established according to the elements which make great effect on construction accuracy. |
