Abstract This is an experimental study to identify how much energy can be saved by an airflow window system, comparing with by a normal double pane window system and to develop the design techniques of an airflow window system.By experimental results obtained in the experimental model(25.92m) with an airflow window system and a double pane window system constructed for this study,1)the thermal characteristic of an airflow window system were analyzed2)the optimum amount of the inflowing air,the clearance of an air inlet and the slat angle of venetian blind were decided3)the energy savings amount of an airflow window system was measured by comparing electric power consumed in two experimental rooms with airflow window system and double pane window system respectively
