| Abstract |
This paper presents the effective transition elements for the interaction of beam and wall element.Transition elements are considered as TYPE1, TYPE2, TYPE3 and modified transition elements are considered as NTYPE1, NTYPE2, NTYPE3 according to the number of d.o.f and the location of equivalent node.4-storey coupled shear wall model with the variation of connecting beam length and various mesh grading are presented to show the accuracy and efficiency of these elements.The transition elements and modified transition elements presented in this paper, therefore, is to aid the effective analysis of composite structure with the interaction of beam and wall element. |
