| Abstract |
Adolf Loos Was one of the pioneers of European Modem Movement and one of the first architects to reacts against the decorative trends of Art Nouveau and to expound rationalist design theories. In 1908 Adolf Loos published "Omament und Verbrechen"(omament and crine), in which he elaborated the nature of his quarrel with the artists of Vienness Secession and Jugend Stil architects. Loos had little fath in the drawing as an indicator of architectural quality. He was not enthusiastic about Photography as a means of conveying architecture. Adolf Loos' particular contribution of architecture is summerized under the heading of "Raumplan"(space plan). It is very interesting to compare Raumplan of Loos with Plan Libre of Le Corbusier. |
