| Abstract |
The development of industry and technology have had on effect on architecture and enriched the basis of architectural vocabulary by using new technologies and materials. Especially, advanced technology after the Industrial Revolution replaced existing notion of handicraft, such circumstances influcenced architecture and many pioneering architects to have tried to accept such ideas. Ideal city project aimed to improve bad circumstances as well as housing problem was suggested too.The proposed low cost housing system called for a mass production method. That was named L'Esprit Nouveau, a new conception at that time. Therefore, an attention should be given to such planners with such ideas, but in this study, we would like to study about the theory and pratical mass produced housing conceived by Le Corbusier in 1920's |
