Abstract The purpose of this study is to investigate the history and spatial organization of Soedang and Jungsa Architecture in Honam District,Which were private school through Koryo and Chosun Kynasty along with Soewon.They were generally smaller in scale than Soewon and the space of sacrificial rite for sages was omitted or weakened.Its floor plan in Koryo dynasty was unusual and matured as general form in Chosun Dynasty.The structure is simple and has a tendency to use native material not worked. The exterior space, sometimes has no fence and is formed by tree, flower, pond, suckmool(stonework), chimney, etc.
