Statistical Study for Live Load of School Classroom |
| Abstract |
In structural analysis and design, load is one of the most important and basic factors. To develop the probability based design criteria for the school buildings, the probabilistic characteristics of loadings acting on structures should be defined first.A methodology to develop the probabilistic live load model is presented in this study, including student weight survey results.Based on the survey data, design loads have been estimated for high schools using the design load criteria of current practice, which result in smaller values current design live loads. |
