Abstract It is necessary to evaluate seimic load reasonably in order to design earthquake resistant tall building excited by earthquake. In this paper, design seismic loads were calculated as an equivalent static method using UBC-88 and domestic codes and dynamic analysis method. In dynamic analysis method, based on the Model analysis method, assumed simple flexural, linear and shear mode shape, and spectral values obtained by Newmark's design spectrum analysis modal were selected by twelve and sixty story. Design seismic loads were compared with equivalent static and dynamic analysis method from each analysis modal. Numerical results are that domestic code and dynamic analysis method are similar to the case of sixty story, assumed mode shapeds are get near to the analysis mode.
