Title Shear Strength of Horizontal Joints in Precast Concrete Pannel Structure

Abstract 10 full-scale precast concrete horizontal joint specimens were tested to observe the shear transfer mechanism and to predict their shear strength under the stress states similar to real situations. The conclusions of test results are as follows: 1)The friction coefficient under eccetric compression is close to the friction coefficient under concentric compression. 2)ACI friction coefficient of =0.6 can be used with satisfaction 3)Test results show that shear resistance capacity consists of friction and dowel action.
