The Enerth Analysis for the Behavior of Reinforced Concrete Beamand-Exterior Column Joint |
Abstract |
Beam-and-Exterior colum Joints are more sus-ceptible to have weak points than the other parts of frames. Therefore stress resistance capacity of joint regions is required to be increased over other areas because the sectional 3rea is decreased, and the rebar diameter must be increased to meet increased loading because of increased building height. This study is to analyzo nonlinear behavior of joint regions under cyclic loading using energy method and comparing test results with theoretical analyses of the behavior of joint region. Also the study includes combining bond equations with compatability sectional foreces equations which forms a plastic hinge with the assumption that it's loacted on the beam, using computer IBM-PC-AT. Conclusions observed from the tests and the computer simulations could be summarized as follow: 1.On the resistant capacity composing plastic hinge method caused by bond slips, test models B and E with joint-deep extension of development length for anchorage have 4-7% increase of resistant capacity not to form plastic hinge than the other test models. 2.Results from energy analysis have only 8-15% error comparing with one of |
