A Study on the Basic Direction for Intelligent Office Buildings in Korea |
| Abstract |
As Korea is coming up to the advanced society, it is inevitable to meet the new requirements for more productive and comfortable office environments. This study has therefore been proceeded to set up a directional guide for intelligent office building in Korea, where the market for intelligent building is yet as uncharted as its title is ill-defined.Based upon previous examples of intelligent buildings in other developed countries, there must be a firm and clear methodology of optimum design and practical management for Korean circumstances.With keen attention to the matter of over-design, it is highly recommended to establish the organic relationship between external and internal spaces with more flexibilities and efficient integration or interface of various systems.Senior enginners should also take part in the planning of each project from the early stage in order to prevent malfunction problems or public space shortages. |
