Abstract |
This paper is a study on the deformation behavior of the reinforced concrete column carrying bi-axial bending moment and axial force. That is, this is to clarify the deformation behavior of the reinforced concrete column carrying be-axial bending moment and axial force by analytic methods. By using the square section column as an analyzing model, the deformation behavior of the reinforced concrete column carrying bi-axial bending moment and axial force, and of that carrying uni-axial bending moment and axial force are examined by comparing with the size of axial force. The aim is to clarify the propriety of the present structural design method in which only one axis is considered, and the influence which axial force exerts the resistant force of the reinforced concrete column. As the result, the resistant force of the reinforced concrete column carrying bi-axial bending moment falls greatly in comparison with that carrying uni-axial bending moment and axial force. In the first stage, the resistant force increases but decreases suddenly with the passage of time according as axial force increases. |
