Abstract As the function, usage and scale of the modern architecture become multiple, complex and large scale, architecural space and user groups become complex.Because of the some problems as follow: spatial perception and wayfinding, psycological confusion, physical fatigue, safety issues of uers are very important and serious inside of the building. The method and hypothesis of this study are based on the relationship of activity system, supportive setting system and circulation system.Space orientation and wayfinding are not only spatial perception problem but also design methodology issues. This study deals with those some problems in the case of the subway station in Seoul. The important issues confirmed by this study are as follows.1) Architectural Differentiation : to increase space legibility, the method of compect and simple planning system between spaces.2) Plan configuration : decrease the numbers of the turnning points, the members of circulation routes and develope the circulation system, space composition to the vertical line more then horizontal line.3) Perceptual Access : to increase immediacy, direct visual connection should be applied.4) Sign system should be considered by the simplification of kinds of sign boards, frequancy of the same kindes of sign boards, arrangement of these.
