An Analysis of Iterative Shape Finding of Cable-Net Structures by Initial Tension Forces |
Abstract |
In this paper, a shape finding analysis procedure of cable-net structures is used interative initial tension forces. Since the cable-net structures are flexible, lack of bending rigidity, introducing of initial forces is essential for its stability. Therefore, these structures display various changed shapes different from proposed shape, according to initial forces and each external loading steps, etc.Thus, we try to find the shapes have minimum deviation from proposed shapes and are not exist infeasible region whenexternal loads applied, using iterative initial tension forces. In addition, the effect of flexural edge members and flexural supporting members are considered.A few numerical examples are solved to demonstrated the proposed iterative procedure. |
