Abstract |
In this paper, the applicability of a 150W LED explosion-proof flood lighting luminaire for the use of industrial hazardous areas was studied. At first, fixture design, optical design and thermal design were performed, and then proto-type luminaire was fabricated, and finally lighting and explosion-proof characteristics were measured and analyzed. The proto-type of 150W LED explosion-proof flood lighting luminaire with flameproof enclosure by flange connections was successfully developed with 8.5kg of weight, 646㎤ of internal volume, 16,283lm of luminous flux, 108lm/W of luminous efficiency, 76 of CRI and 5,500K of CCT. The prototype satisfied the Ex d explosion-proof characteristics with 5.70bar of explosion pressure for the reference pressure test and 9.00bar of water pressure for the static test of withstand pressure test. In addition, IP66 class of ingress protection, T5 class as 66.60℃ of surface temperature was satisfied. As a result, it was found that the 150W LED flood lighting luminaire with Ex d ⅡB T5 Gb was successfully developed. |
