Abstract |
This paper proposes a synchronous control method for improving the efficiency of a Cascaded Buck-Boost converter for power supply of marine lantern. Conventional Cascaded Buck-Boost converter have a disadvantage in that the efficiency is reduced due to large conduction loss due to the forward voltage drop of the diode. In order to solve this problem, a synchronous control method was applied to improve the total system efficiency of the converter by replacing the diode of Cascaded Buck-Boost converter with a MOSFET. The validity of the proposed synchronous Cascaded Buck-Boost converter was verified through the analysis of loss and experiment. |
