Abstract |
Early detection of deteriorating cable systems is important to secure the availability of electrical systems. In this paper, the 22.9 kV CNCV cables under test (CUT) with artificial defects are prepared for an analysis of those partial discharge (PD) characteristics. Each cable was examined by PD testing equipment for the measurement and diagnostics of PD waveform. An analysis was performed about PD characteristics of each CUTs after applying power frequency voltage. For acquiring various measurement data, total fourteen deferent type of cables were manufactured and examined. The result showed that PD waveform are detected from six cables and each cable's measurement value and waveform were deferent from kind of defects. |
