Abstract |
Compared to AC transmission system, DC transmission system has low transmission loss. In addition, DC transmission can interconnect asynchronous power systems. Therefore, many overseas countries are operating DC transmission lines and ±500kV DC transmission lines will be constructed in South Korea. So, in this paper, we try to compare the clearances of obstacles when constructing a DC transmission line in a foreign country for the purpose of calculating the optimal clearance in South Korea. The comparison countries are the United States, Japan, Canada, China, South Africa, and India. As a result of the optimal clearance analysis, it is appropriate to apply the Japanese standard when considering various environmental aspects in South Korea. |
