Abstract |
In this paper, 4kW electric cooling system for commercial vehicle is proposed and the thermal environment performance is evaluated. The proposed electric cooling system consists of a cascaded push-pull DC/DC converter that is simple in structure and switching pattern, easy to expand with high power, and a three-phase DC/AC inverter for driving an electric compressor. The proposed system was fabricated and the thermal distribution of the converter was measured with a thermal imaging camera. The highest temperature was measured as 70℃ for the switching device and 55℃ for the isolation transformer. The thermal shock test, the high temperature operation test, the temperature cycle test, and the low temperature operation test were performed in the thermal environment chamber. It was found that the step-up operation of the DC voltage of the converter and the AC voltage / current of the inverter were stably controlled. Finally, the test was conducted at a bandwidth of 30MHz to 1GHz for radiative Electro Magnetic Compatibility, and it was evaluated that the proposed device is not higher than the permissible level limit of EMI, even though it is a test product. |
