	| Abstract | 
	In this paper, a new control method of a bidirectional DC-DC converter for HESS is proposed. The control method of the conventional bidirectional DC-DC converter has a short charging period of the supercapacitor because the operation of the supercapacitor is not considered SOC 50% below. This paper adds a sequence considering the SOC of the supercapacitor to improve the charge cycle of the supercapacitor and minimize battery over-discharge. Also, this paper proposes a control algorithm that can control the discharge current of the battery and supercapacitor by dividing the operation mode of LEVs into constant speed mode and rapid acceleration mode.  |
