Abstract |
In this paper, we studied for improving color uniformity of white LED by using laser curing method. Silicone encapsulant was cured at high speed through the laser curing process, resulting in the improvement of phosphor dispersibility. Luminous flux, color temperature distribution and reliability test of prepared white LED package were evaluated to compare the photo-performance of LED PKG prepared by convection oven or laser curing process. The difference in precipitation speed by encapsulation viscosity and phosphor specific gravity affected the spectrum, color temperature and color uniformity of white LED package. The optical structure with surface light distribution was designed for the uniform laser irradiation and the curing process was carried out using homogenizer. As a result of measurements, through the laser curing process, luminous flux was improved by 6.0% and color temperature was 280K lower and the color temperature distribution was less than 110K. The reliability test of the high-temperature and high-humidity operation life evaluation was improved by 9%. |
