Abstract |
In this paper, we analyzed the characteristics of 200W hollow shafted BLDC motor using a FEM(Finite Element Method) based software, and compared it with a BLDC motor with an existing shaft. For the hollow shafted motor, the flow efficiency increase, but the motor output, efficiency, and other characteristics are decreased due to the loss increase by magnetic saturation compared with the conventional shafted motor. In this paper, we analyzed the characteristics of the conventional 200W BLDC motor and designed the hollow size of the hollow shafted BLDC motor, which had almost same characteristics as the conventional BLDC motor. Then we had CFD(Computational Fluid Dynamics) analysis for the fluid efficiency of two kind of BLDC motors. The results showed the fluid flow rate of the hollow shafted BLDC motor was about improved 11[%] compared with the conventional shafted BLDC motor. The verification of the design and the characteristics of the hollow shafted BLDC motor was certified by the experiments. |
