Abstract |
As the direction of the power industry policy has changed, the energy storage system (ESS) market has gradually grown by expanding the supply of renewable energy and increasing power demand. Installation of the ESS for peak reduction has been expanded in buildings and factories as incentives such as the expansion of discounts on special ESS fares have been strengthened due to the improvement of the system for the spread of ESS. In this paper, power factor degradation at point of common coupling (PCC) that often occur during ESS operations is analyzed. The seasonal load pattern analysis of the industrial customer is carried out, and the algorithm for estimation of optimal capacity of peak reduction ESS is proposed. In addition, economic analysis using net present value (NPV) is performed by reflecting the domestic electricity rate system, and ESS capacity estimation is performed considering Grid Code. |
