Abstract In this paper, an impedance calculating method is proposed from the attenuation coefficient and oscillation frequency of the voltage wave form without relationships among voltage, current, and power. Gas discharge is assumed to be a resistance and capacitance a parallel circuit, and the circuit equations are analyzed using Laplace transforms to obtain the values. The component values were calculated from an actual discharge system, and the validity was confirmed by using LTspice simulation.
