Abstract |
To reduce greenhouse gas emissions, public offices are obligated to certify zero-energy buildings and implement a system for energy use efficiency. In the case of the lighting sector, the focus is on expanding the application of LED fixtures to improve energy efficiency, but additional energy savings are possible by applying the smart lighting control method. Therefore, in this study, empirical cases for government offices were reviewed among the Green Proving Ground(GPG) programs of the General Services Administration(GSA) that evaluated the energy saving effects of various smart lighting control methods. In addition, International Energy Conservation Code(IECC), ASHRAE 90.1, and Building Energy Efficiency Standards-Title 24, which provide specific and detailed regulations for smart lighting, were reviewed. Based on this, smart lighting control scenarios for energy saving in local government offices were proposed in consideration of the user’s characteristics and occupancy type. |
