Abstract |
The number of home appliances used is increasing due to the improvement of living standards, and electricity consumption is also rapidly increasing accordingly. One of the causes of electrical fires is the temperature rising of the socket-outlet due to overload and contact resistance. The temperature rising of the socket-outlet is caused by increased power consumption and outdated wiring equipment. In this study, the temperature rising test according to the overload and the withdrawal force of the socket-outlet was conducted and analyzed. The test was conducted after finding the conditions for the main test by conducting three types of preliminary tests. As a result of the analysis, the withdrawal force and the temperature rising of the socket-outlet have a negative correlation. In conclusion, the smaller the withdrawal force of the socket-outlet, the higher temperature rising of the socket-outlet and the higher the possibility of electric fire. Therefore, three countermeasures were suggested to prevent electric fire caused by the socket-outlet. (1) Regulation of the minimum value of the withdrawal force of the socket-outlet. (2) Restriction of the period of use after the socket-outlet is installed. (3) Improvement of related regulations for the temperature rising test. |
