Abstract |
This paper used 3D Finite Element Method (FEM) and Response Surface Method (RSM) to find an improved design point for the steady-state characteristics of a PM claw pole stepping motor. The considered design parameters are air gap length, tapered air gap, pole width, and pole height. As a result, an optimum model can be chosen. The effects of assembly errors on detent torque are examined as the difference of the initial points of two stacks is increased. The analysis was carried out using the range from 0 to 3 degrees. Finally, the results are verified and compared with the experimental results. |
