Abstract |
This paper presents an optimal operation algorithm for heat and power load of university campus microgrid. The microgrid consists of a CHP that generates heat and electricity energy, a PV that is an uncontrollable renewable energy, an electrical energy storage system (ESS), and an thermal energy storage tank (TST) to enhance energy efficiency. We propose a two - step optimization algorithm for the real - time optimization due to the uncertainty of forecast data and the linearization method for the nonlinear cost function of the CHP in the optimal operation scheduling. The proposed method was applied to a university campus microgrid system and calculated by MILP (mixed integer linear programming). |
