Abstract |
Analysis of lightning induced overvoltage has been accepted as one of important subjects for design of better lightning protection system for power lines, especially for distribution system with lower system voltage rather than transmission line system. For estimation of lightning protection performance of power lines, parametric analysis is very useful and necessary to design better lightning protection system taking many factors, such as distance between surge arresters, into account. In this paper, LIV-ATP, which is MODELS code for lightning induced voltage analysis inside ATP (Alternative Transient Program), was compiled to overcome slow execution time and the compiled LIV-ATP was used for parametric analysis of Korea's 22.9kV distribution system. |
