Abstract |
PID controllers are often used industrial goods and military weapons systems requiring precision control. Recently PID controllers have been required precision control using metaheuristic algorithms based on the evolution progress in the natural environment. This paper introduces how to tune optimal parameters of PID controller using the most recently of being developed powerful called Symbiotic Organisms Search(SOS) for speed control of Direct Current(DC) motor. Comparing with algorithms such as Genetic Algorithm(GA) and Particle Swarm Optimization(PSO), the proposed method confirmed to represent similar contol performance with the ones to show optimized parameters of a controller at a faster rate via simulation using MATLAB. |
