Abstract The electrical load patterns and load factors are important to design infrastructures of the power system. Recently net loads include the DG(Distribution Generator) such as PV(Photovoltaic). DG is an element that makes it difficult to estimate the original load pattern. In this paper, we propose the method to estimate net load by curve fitting with nonlinear regression. For intuitive analysis, we define the simplified numerical models of actual load and PV. The net load pattern of distribution feeder is decomposed to patterns of each element. The factors of time and scale are defined as decision parameters. We use PSO(Particle Swarm Optimization) for finding the optimal point of the parameters that we defined. Finally, the convergence of the proposed method is tested with measured data of distribution feeder.
