Abstract |
A distribution system has advantages by accommodating DER(Distributed Energy Resource) that it’s available, but the voltage ranges have to be considered in operation. In this paper, a method for calculating maximum hosting capacity of DERMS(Distributed Energy Resource Management System) by using voltage sensitivities according to each DER output which is interconnected to different locations is proposed. Each voltage sensitivity of DER bus is explained by the theorem of superposition and the simple model that consists of impedances. Through the proposed method, the DER’s output limit considering the hosting capacity can be calculated linearly and it can be calculated without iteration. The verification of DER integration is achieved by simulation using IEEE-33 bus case, MATPOWER 7.0, and frequency regulation test signal from PNNL(Pacific Northwest National Laboratory). |
