Abstract |
This research reviews the influencing factors in different spatial experiences through lighting, and provides appropriate criteria for these in the cathedral spaces, where the visual and psychological effects of lighting are high. The necessity of setting these standards is because the factors and degree of influence of illumination on human sensibility and behavior, safety, concentration, peace, and visual perception are extremely important in cathedral architecture. Through this study, the existing data and standards has been researched and analyzed. Based on the existing data and analysed data, the suitable spatial illumination criterion of the visual and emotional aspect for the function of the cathedral has been set. In addition, the possibility of applying appropriate standard of illuminance to the future plan of the cathedral, as the cathedral changes over time, has been explored. |
