Abstract |
Vitamin D has been shown to be associated with cancer of the musculoskeletal system, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, rickets, and etc. In case of vitamin D deficiency, depression, seasonal affective disorder, obesity, and sleep disorder occur. Therefore, in order to alleviate the vitamin D deficiency of modern people who have little outdoor activity, we intend to develop a UV-B LED task lighting system capable of synthesizing vitamin D indoors. In this paper, as a basic study to develop a UV-B LED task lighting system for vitamin D production, an experiment was conducted to verify the vitamin D production effect by UV-B LED lighting. In some test conditions, it was confirmed that vitamin D was significantly increased, but cell death occurred. In the case of non-cell death group, vitamin D increased, but no significant difference was found. |
