Abstract |
Light therapy is safe and effective, so it is used for wound healing and skin care. Light patch products using LEDs can be manufactured to fit the surface of the skin or face, but it is limited of light therapy function by using a single-wavelength LED light source. In addition, the light source for the light patch has a disadvantage of low light uniformity because of equal spacing arrangement of the LED packages. In this paper, we have developed prototype of light patch module based on 3-in-1 LED package with 3-wavelength (430/630/830nm) characteristics such that can mitigate wrinkles under the eyes and skin. Optical structure of the 3-in-1 LED package was studied to improve light uniformity by applying a diffusion sheet. The resultant light patch module were manufactured based on the simulation results. Optical evaluation showed that the average light uniformity based on luminance was attained at the level of 82.9%, and 94.6% based on illuminance. Test for skin regeneration effect using the red wavelength revealed promotion of COLI 15.5% and COLIII 1.6% in the case of the light patch module with diffusion sheet. |
